@brian_armstrong released Coinbase's agent registration page this morning. The most important sentence in the FAQ is: Your agent can never transfer funds out of Coinbase. Ready-made agents like ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok connect after a one-time installation, requiring no coding or API key. They allow checking market data, viewing holdings, and placing orders; cryptocurrencies, stocks, and futures are available by region. In the US, it also allows purchasing data using x402 with USDC, with a single transaction limit of $5 and a daily limit of $50. The on-chain approach is to issue a wallet to the agent. Coinbase issues an account: funds can be spent, but cannot be transferred.
