So many projects shut down in November! It's ironic, really. The crypto world constantly touts long-term investing, but for most altcoins, long-term holding might actually be one of the riskiest strategies. In 2020, people thought DeFi would redefine finance; in 2021, they thought NFTs would change the internet; in 2022, they thought GameFi would reshape the gaming economy; and then it was L2, restaking, AI agents… The moats built during the last bull market might become the historical burdens of the next. Surprisingly, after hype, the next new sector hasn't emerged for a long time!
