Project Team Denounces Allegations: 200 KOLs with Over 10 Million Followers Sold Only 200 NFTs! NFT project Robin Guards issued a lengthy statement claiming that they hired 200 crypto KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) to promote their product. These individuals had a combined following of over 10 million, but ultimately only sold 200 NFTs, a conversion rate of a mere 0.002%. The project team alleges that these KOLs fabricated influence through buying followers, cross-promotion groups, and AI-generated comments, charging approximately $50 per tweet. When the project team refused to continue paying, the KOLs countered by calling the project a scam. The project team also specifically named KOL @grebby, claiming that he himself sells fake followers and inflated metrics, and that many of the named KOLs are his clients. The accused KOLs have not yet collectively responded.
