According to Yonhap News Agency, members of the National Assembly's Finance and Economics Committee of South Korea's ruling Democratic Party reached a majority vote on November 3rd to recommend to the party leadership that the cryptocurrency income tax, originally scheduled for January 2027, be postponed for approximately two years to 2029. Committee member Oh Ki-hyung, the ruling party's secretary-general, stated that the exchange of overseas cryptocurrency tax information is expected to be fully implemented in 2029, and the "Digital Asset Basic Law" may change the current tax framework, thus necessitating further improvements to the tax system and transaction data collection system. South Korea's cryptocurrency income tax has already been postponed three times; this proposal still requires party discussion and legislative procedures and has not yet been formally approved. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/south-korea-crypto-tax-delay-to-2029-government-mp-suggests-71221
