[International Maritime Organization: Still Advises Ships to Navigate the Strait of Hormuz] According to Jinse Finance, on November 3rd, International Maritime Organization (IMO) Secretary General Dominguez stated in London on November 2nd that the organization cannot confirm whether mines have been cleared from the Strait of Hormuz's traffic separation zone, and therefore, the safety of ship passage is not guaranteed. He added that the IMO still does not recommend ships navigate in the strait. Dominguez said that the IMO recorded approximately 30 ship attacks in the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters in October, making it one of the months with the most recorded attacks. Currently, nearly 400 ships and approximately 6,000 seafarers are stranded in the Gulf region. (Xinhua)
