[Meta Considers Issuing at Least $20 Billion in Bonds, Entering the Eurobond Market for the First Time] According to Jinse Finance, on November 3rd, sources familiar with the matter revealed that Meta Platforms (META.O) is considering issuing at least $20 billion in cross-border investment-grade bonds, aiming to enter both the US dollar and euro bond markets simultaneously. The specific size has not yet been finalized and may be expanded further depending on investor demand. Meta has commissioned Citigroup and Morgan Stanley to arrange investor conference calls. The US dollar bonds are expected to have a maturity of 5 to 30 years, while the euro bond maturity is estimated at approximately 4 to 38 years. This is Meta's first large-scale bond issuance in six months and its first issuance of euro bonds. As tech giants continue to finance data center and chip purchases through debt, market concerns about the returns on AI investments have intensified, leading to a cooling in demand for related bonds, with investors demanding higher yields. Meta has previously issued $25 billion in common stock and $12.5 billion in preferred stock and plans to raise up to $60 billion through a market-wide share offering.
