[US Media: Gulf States Prepare for Resurgence of US-Iran Conflict] According to a report by Jinse Finance on November 2nd, citing the Wall Street Journal, US allies in the Gulf region are preparing for a potential large-scale US bombing of Iran, anticipating a possible retaliatory attack by Iran on the Gulf states' economies and civilian infrastructure, possibly as early as this week. With efforts to resolve the conflict through negotiations stalled, both the US and Iran have threatened that if the conflict escalates again, the fighting will be more intense than before, causing increasing concern among Gulf states. Several governments, including Qatar and the UAE, are conducting security drills, including airport security exercises. Some participants at a large energy conference in Abu Dhabi ended their trip early at the advice of their respective governments. Schools in the Saudi Arabian capital will continue online learning this week. As Saudi Arabia also faces threats of attacks from the Houthi rebels in Yemen, the Dutch and Belgian embassies in the region warned on Thursday that the local security situation could deteriorate rapidly. Anwar Gargash, a senior foreign policy advisor to the UAE president, stated at a security conference over the weekend that the country hopes diplomatic efforts will yield results but is "prepared for the worst."
