[Analyst: Gold May Gain New Momentum if US Congress Remains Deadlocked] According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on November 2nd, as gold prices are on track for their worst annual performance in over a decade, investors are assessing whether changes in the US political landscape can reignite the safe-haven appeal of the precious metal. Matt Miskin, co-chief investment strategist at Manulife John Hancock Investments, stated, "History doesn't simply repeat itself, but it often rhymes." He pointed out that gold experienced a rally in 2019. "If 2027 bears some resemblance to 2019, then gold's current weakness could actually reverse." Miskin stated, "A congressional deadlock could reduce the risk of further fiscal policy pushing real yields higher." He expects the Democrats to make modest progress in the midterm elections, but with limited policy changes, which he believes "would be a very positive development for gold." (Jinshi)
