[Community Vote Supports Research into Independent L1 Platform; Starknet Migration Not Yet Approved] Odaily Planet Daily reports that Starknet stated in a post on the X platform that during Token2049, Eli Ben-Sasson proposed whether Starknet should transition into an independent L1 platform to advance the construction of a quantum-safe network. The first round of non-binding community voting concluded on October 22nd, with results overwhelmingly supporting research into the proposal. However, the vote itself did not approve the migration or finalize the L1 construction plan. A joint working group comprised of StarkWare and the Starknet Foundation is studying the relevant technical benefits, security assumptions, trade-offs, and impacts, and will publish a research paper for community review.
