According to a report updated on November 2nd by blockchain analytics firm Elliptic, the money laundering activities involving approximately $6.43 billion in stolen assets from Binance spanned 11 blockchains, approximately 12,000 wallets, and over 40,000 transactions, exhibiting highly automated characteristics. Of this, approximately $2.85 billion, or 44% of the stolen amount, has been frozen or seized; another approximately $3.24 billion remains in addresses associated with the theft. Tron was the primary channel for fund transfers, with attackers splitting the funds into approximately 7,700 addresses and transferring them to networks such as Ethereum via cross-chain bridges. Starting November 1st, attackers first used CoinJoin mixing technology to process approximately 28 BTC. Furthermore, approximately $16 million in stolen funds were transferred to addresses linked to proceeds from the previous Bitget hack.
