Will Trump attack Iran after the midterm elections? Trump doesn't actually want to fight, but Netanyahu is holding a knife to his throat.
Many people believe that if Trump loses the midterm elections, he will definitely take his anger out on Iran.
But does he really dare to attack?
Let's look at the latest actions of Iran and Trump.
On November 2nd, the Iranian Foreign Ministry softened its stance: The Strait of Hormuz could be restored to security "within two days" if the US meets its conditions. The original "seven-day plan" was proactively shortened to two days.
Iran doesn't want to fight; it's desperately offering Trump a way out.
And Trump?
He was still making harsh statements at a rally on November 1st,
but then Secretary of State Rubio revealed:
"The president has not yet decided and still prefers a peaceful resolution."
Why?
Because the high oil prices caused by the war
have already cost American consumers an extra $133 billion.
If inflation can't be controlled, votes will be lost.
Fighting again would be political suicide.
But some don't want him to back down, and Netanyahu is getting impatient.
The Israeli elections have just ended, and his ruling coalition can't even secure the 61 seats needed to form a government.
A prime minister facing resignation needs a foreign war more than anyone else to prolong his life.
According to reports, Netanyahu has directly pressured Trump to "immediately bomb Iran's Goshal nuclear facility after the midterm elections."
Therefore, the current situation is: Iran has offered a way out, hoping for a ceasefire.
Trump wants to negotiate for votes.
But Netanyahu, for his own political life, is determined to force Trump to press the nuclear button.
After November 3rd, the fate of the Middle East will not be decided by American voters' ballots, but by whether Netanyahu can remain in power.
As long as he remains in power, the flames in the Middle East could be ignited at any time.
Global markets are focused on the results of the November 3rd midterm elections and on Trump's actions after November 4th.
Behind the flames, however, the ones who always foot the bill are soaring oil prices and bloodbaths in US stocks and Bitcoin.
