[Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission Releases First AI Readiness Survey] According to Jinse Finance, on November 2nd, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) released its first "Survey on the Application and Readiness of Artificial Intelligence in Large Institutions." The results show that institutions have widely applied artificial intelligence to their business and monitoring functions, but point out that scaling up its application responsibly faces challenges. This survey, conducted from July to August 2026, covered 20 large financial institutions and their 78 Hong Kong affiliated licensed corporations, covering 75% of securities market transactions in the first half of this year. The survey found that all surveyed institutions have already used AI; 95% expect to accelerate AI application in the coming year; 90% of surveyed institutions reported using or assessing AI to prevent cyberattack risks; and 55% of institutions are using or piloting proxy AI.
