[Iranian Foreign Minister Reveals "Two-Day Plan": US Compliance Required for Resumption of Iran-US Talks]
BlockBeats reports on November 2nd, citing CCTV News, that Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi stated in a media interview on November 1st that the Iranian delegation's visit to Qatar was a continuation of ongoing communication between Iran and mediators such as Qatar and Pakistan. Currently, the proposed solutions are essentially the same as Iran's previously proposed "seven-day plan." Qatar and Pakistan, among other mediators, have also held multiple consultations and discussions on this matter and have put forward suggestions that are more feasible and workable than Iran's "seven-day plan."
Araqchi stated that one of Qatar's suggestions was to "shorten the seven-day period to five days or even less." Currently, Iran has agreed to a "two-day plan": On the first day, the US will take a series of (compliance) measures. On the second day, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened, and traffic will return to its previous state.
Araqchi pointed out that all these issues are now on the table, and as long as (the US) complies with Iran's two-day plan, it will pave the way for peace and restore normalcy to the Strait of Hormuz. The path to resuming negotiations between Iran and the United States will only open after the US fulfills its relevant commitments and the Strait of Hormuz is reopened. It is understood that the conditions Iran has set for the US to fulfill include: establishing a new shipping route through the Strait of Hormuz, unfreezing Iranian funds, ending regional wars, including those in Lebanon, lifting the maritime blockade, granting waivers for Iranian oil exports, and lifting new US sanctions imposed after the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
