Six consecutive weeks of declines saw the Shanghai Composite Index fall over 6% in October, while the ChiNext Index dropped 23%.
Over the weekend, the People's Bank of China and the China Securities Regulatory Commission simultaneously intervened: stabilizing expectations, introducing tools, and normalizing overnight reverse repos.
However, on Friday, the Nasdaq fell 3%, Nvidia fell 4%, and the PMI was 49.3.
Monday's lower opening will be watched for two points: whether it can rebound above 3600 with increased volume; and whether the tech sector will stop falling or if it's just a defensive play on dividends.
Policy bottom ≠ market bottom. Do you think this is a rebound or a pullback?
