Wu has learned that Echelon, the modular lending protocol within the Move ecosystem, has released an update on its domain security incident, stating that its official website is now fully accessible and domain name resolution has returned to normal. The investigation confirmed that the incident stemmed from unauthorized modification of the name server configuration at the domain registration level. Echelon uses DNS services provided by Vercel, with Name.com as its domain registrar. During the incident, the domain's name server was switched from Vercel DNS to Name.com DNS without authorization, causing visitors to be redirected to a phishing website impersonating the Echelon website. Echelon emphasizes that this incident only involved domain registration and DNS configuration; its smart contracts were not compromised.
