Ethereum Foundation researcher frisitano released an EIP draft for post-quantum PeerDAS and variable-size blobs. The draft replaces the KZG commitments and proofs in PeerDAS with Keccak-256 Merkle commitments and authentication paths per blob, along with LeanDA STARK proofs to eliminate trusted setups and improve quantum resistance. It also introduces variable-size blobs and updates the execution layer transaction carrying information, network layer, and gas billing methods.
