The US FBI has just released a major announcement: Confirmed evidence that a North Korean hacking group attacked Binance, stealing over $6 billion! North Korea Responsible for $6 Billion+ Binance Attack — FBI This is no longer theft; it's a state-level declaration of war. 1. Official confirmation of the amount and the perpetrators. The FBI explicitly named the North Korean hacking group, codenamed "TraderTraitor," which attacked Binance on October 29th, stealing over $6 billion. 2. North Korean hackers are frantically converting the stolen assets into ETH. The FBI detected that this group is pouring all the stolen assets into Ethereum (ETH). The aim is to launder the money using DeFi and instant exchange services. This is exactly the same as the "four-step jailbreak method" we previously analyzed: Step 1: Launder the money into DeFi and convert it into tokens. Step 2: Escape the situation and transfer the funds to a clean wallet. The third step is to exchange the credentials back for stablecoins. The fourth step is to exchange them for ETH, which cannot be frozen, via a cross-chain bridge. A swift and decisive move. This is the professionalism of the North Korean national team. 3. The FBI publicly calls for a joint "blockade." The FBI, in conjunction with the Secret Service and the IRS, issued a global appeal, demanding that all RPC nodes, DeFi service providers, and exchanges completely block the relevant addresses. Trump personally posted, calling it the biggest theft in history! This could trigger an online war of words between the US and North Korea. 4. An extremely ironic detail. The FBI even specifically named the operators of THORNode, requesting their assistance in intercepting the attack. What does this mean? It means that hackers are using decentralized cross-chain protocols to transfer assets, forcing the FBI to beg decentralized nodes to "pull the plug" to cover the losses. No matter how much hype is made about "decentralization," in the face of a state-owned hacking machine, ultimately centralized law enforcement is needed to fill the gap. Faced with overwhelming firepower, so-called security audits are utterly worthless. Retail investors are gambling on stock charts, while the authorities are robbing the national treasury.
