The cryptocurrency industry desperately needs a governing coalition! After reading Robert Mao's "Industry Self-Help Initiative" from ArcBlock founder Robert Mao, I was deeply moved. Frankly, the crypto industry should have united long ago to establish a collaborative mechanism to address hacker attacks, major security incidents, fraudulent projects, and malicious market manipulation. Over the years, it's been incredibly frustrating to see such progress. Hacking and theft occur repeatedly, RUGs are commonplace, and projects that have already defrauded investors are simply repackaged and listed on exchanges to continue profiting. Malicious market manipulation and pump-and-dump schemes happen almost daily, and it's always the ordinary users who suffer in the end. What's most frustrating is that this industry doesn't lack money, technology, or smart people, but it consistently lacks a leading force that can truly unite all parties and promote collaborative governance. Security collaboration organizations like SEAL and Crypto ISAC already exist, but simply preventing hacking is far from enough. Exchanges, wallets, project teams, and security agencies can establish broader cooperation mechanisms to share blacklists and risk evidence, jointly respond to emergencies, and improve listing transparency, preventing repeat offenders from continuing their exploitative practices on a different platform. We constantly tout decentralization, financial freedom, and world-changing solutions, but how can we talk about widespread adoption if we can't even protect basic user security and industry trust? Hopefully, the Binance incident will be a turning point, and we hope that truly capable and influential figures in the industry will step forward and unite everyone. Competition is competition, but the industry's bottom line needs everyone's protection. Crypto is moving forward! This industry deserves a better future.
