[Analysis: Ethereum Reorganization Causes THORChain Suspension, Unexpectedly Delaying Money Laundering of Stolen Binance Funds] According to TokenPost, blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis reported that on the morning of October 31st (Eastern Time), an Ethereum reorganization caused the cross-chain protocol THORChain to mistakenly issue a double refund to a user who deposited 10 ETH, triggering an emergency suspension. This suspension disabled the exchange functionality of most THORChain cross-chain bridges for all users, including North Korean money launderers, unexpectedly delaying the money laundering process of a large amount of funds stolen from Binance. According to The Defiant, THORChain's status interface shows that transactions on 12 of its 13 listed chains remain suspended, while outbound signatures on most chains remain enabled.
