[NASDAQ-listed NXTT Considers Selling $450 Million Worth of Bitcoin] According to Jinse Finance, on October 31st, Nasdaq-listed software company Next Technology Holding (NXTT) announced that its board of directors has authorized the sale or pledging of approximately 5,833 Bitcoins, valued at approximately $449 million, in tranches. Reasons cited include the Binance hack, exchange vulnerabilities, and the potential threat of quantum computing to Bitcoin cryptography. The company stated that none of its Bitcoins are held by Binance. CEO Weihong Liu will determine the timing, price, and size of the transactions, authorizing the sale through exchanges, privately negotiated transactions, and Bitcoin-backed financing, but there is no guarantee that the transactions will be completed. The majority of the company's Bitcoins originated from a transaction in March 2025, when it acquired 5,000 BTC for a total consideration of $158.1 million, or approximately $31,600 per BTC, through a combination of shares, warrants, and cash upfront payments.
