What surprised me most about this Binance security incident wasn't the size of the stolen amount, but rather the remarkably calm market and user reaction, and the minimal drop in the price of the cryptocurrency.
From my own experience, there hasn't been widespread panic, and very few people around me have rushed to transfer their assets from Binance because of this.
I think this precisely reflects the trust that leading platforms have built up over the long term. What people value isn't just whether the platform will have problems, but more importantly, whether it has the ability to handle problems and the strength to bear the risks.
Of course, this doesn't mean security issues can be ignored, nor does it mean the risks are completely eliminated.
True industry leaders aren't those who never encounter storms, but those who, when storms do occur, still have the ability to stabilize the situation. Only after weathering the storm can one see the rainbow.
A single incident can create volatility, but it cannot shake user trust. I believe Binance will handle this well.
