Every time a major security incident occurs in the industry, everyone focuses on the amount of money lost and who the hackers are. But is it possible to detect risks before they actually occur?
The GCSA (Global Cybersecurity Alliance, @gcsahk), which I've been following recently, seems to be doing something about prevention.
After reviewing its new introduction today, I found that it primarily focuses on the intersection of AI, Web3, and cybersecurity. According to its public information, it has already established a presence in multiple areas, including threat intelligence, AI security auditing, on-chain asset tracking, and infrastructure security.
Furthermore, GCSA has partnered with the University of Hong Kong to establish the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Research, exploring the practical applications of AI in cybersecurity.
I've always believed that with the development of AI and the on-chain economy, security should not just be a post-incident remedy, but rather a proactive defense.
Technology ultimately needs to be validated in real-world applications, but this direction deserves continued attention, especially in an era where AI is developing at an increasingly rapid pace.
