TitanBuilder, the organization that sorts Ethereum transactions, became the biggest beneficiary of the Binance hack, topping the DefiLlama protocol revenue chart yesterday with $24.68 million in revenue. Simply put, a large portion of the stolen assets were stablecoins USDT and USDC, which are easily frozen. To avoid freezing, the hackers needed to exchange these stablecoins for Ethereum and Tron tokens as quickly and cost-effectively. Between the price difference and the queue-jumping fee, there was a significant arbitrage opportunity, making those who collected the fees the big winners. One might wonder if this constitutes money laundering for the hackers?
