Binance says it will fully cover the $6.3 billion stolen in the security breach, ensuring users suffer no losses.
Key updates:
Binance has set aside $6.34 billion, including $5 billion held in the exact stolen tokens, covering around 80% of the losses.
The remaining 20% is being purchased through market and OTC channels.
Around $3 billion in stolen assets has been frozen on-chain.
Binance says it has found no evidence that wallet private keys were leaked.
Withdrawals remain temporarily suspended, with a phased resumption targeted within approximately 34 hours.
Binance plans to publish a new Proof of Reserves report by November 2.
A detailed technical post-mortem report will follow.
Binance says it will absorb all losses through its SAFU fund and corporate treasury, not pass them on to users.
