[US Senators Question Kalshi and Polymarket Regarding Election Insider Trading] Golden Finance reported on October 31st (according to Bitcoin.com) that US Senators Elizabeth Warren and John Curtis sent letters to the CEOs of Kalshi and Polymarket, requesting written responses to seven questions before the November 3rd midterm elections. These questions included how to prevent candidates, campaign teams, and others with access to non-public information from trading; how to identify order manipulation and fraud; how many suspicious election contracts have been discovered since January 1st; how many transactions were blocked before completion; and how many have been reported to the CFTC or law enforcement agencies. The letter cited cases of candidates betting on their own election prospects and suspected order manipulation on Polymarket, stating that the identification of isolated cases does not mean the market is adequately protected.
