As @ChairmanSelig pointed out in announcing the Reg CTX/CAM ANPRM, when FTX imploded, the offshore exchange went bankrupt while the CFTC-registered FTX US remained segregated and secure. Yesterday, more proof that crypto exchanges are best and safest when regulated by the CFTC.
