Claude renames Max 20x to Ultra and removes its 5-hour usage limit. Claude announced on its X platform that it will be renaming its Max plans: Max 5x will be renamed Max, and Max 20x will be renamed Ultra, with prices remaining at $100 and $200 per month respectively. Existing subscribers do not need to make any changes. Simultaneously, effective immediately, the 5-hour usage limit for verified Ultra accounts will be removed, initially covering most existing subscribers. Newer accounts will retain temporary limits until verification is complete to prevent fraud and abuse; a notification will be sent via email when the limits are lifted. Weekly usage limits remain unchanged.
