Raymond Christian Garcia and Isiah Angelo Garcia, brothers from Texas, were sentenced to 15 years and 15 years and 6 months in prison, respectively, for their involvement in an armed robbery involving approximately $8 million worth of cryptocurrency. In September 2025, the two brothers held a family at gunpoint in Minnesota for nine hours, coercing the victims to log into their cryptocurrency accounts and transfer funds to a designated wallet. They later discovered the victims had a cryptocurrency hardware wallet stored in a small house about three hours away. After the victims' son called the police, the two fled the scene, but were tracked down and arrested by police using restaurant receipts, hotel surveillance footage, and car rental records. The two pleaded guilty in June of this year to robbery obstructing business. (The Block) https://(wublock123.com)/news/texas-brothers-9-hour-gun-hostage-800m-crypto-robbery-15-year-sentence-71054
