In the 16 hours after the Oct 29 Binance hack, the leverage left DeFi through repayments rather than liquidations, a quieter exit than the selloff headlines suggest. Stablecoin debt across the major lending protocols fell $244M while liquidations came to about $1.9M.
📉 Total stablecoin debt fell 4.4% to $5.29B, its lowest level since Aug 7.
📊 $213M of the decline came between 00:00 and 04:00 UTC on Oct 30, more than double the largest 4h drop since May.
🧭 Repayments in that window hit $383M, against $141M of new borrowing.
Debt had already fallen $263M over the three weeks since its Oct 5 peak, and the hack night nearly matched that overnight.
