$6.34 billion in company funds have been allocated to cover losses, with an additional $3 billion successfully frozen!
The announcement highlights five key points:
1. Over $6.34 billion of the company's own funds have been reserved to fully cover user losses caused by this security incident.
2. Of this, $5 billion is already held in tokens identical to the affected assets, and the remaining approximately $1.34 billion is being replenished through open market and OTC purchases.
3. Approximately $3 billion of the affected assets have been frozen and are not included in the aforementioned $6.34 billion in company reserves. Recovery efforts are currently underway in conjunction with law enforcement agencies.
4. Due to insufficient liquidity in some altcoins and the time required for OTC settlement, there may be delays in replenishing the assets.
5. Binance is committed to continuously using company funds to fill the confirmed gaps and ultimately publicly verify user assets through Proof-of-Reserve (PoR).
