The first time was under a tweet from CZ warning about phishing scams, a slightly sarcastic comment, to which CZ responded with a lengthy reply. However, his second comment, a smiley face under a screenshot of a joke posted by SBF before FTX's collapse (claiming he would cover customer assets), went too far. Isn't this blatantly mocking Binance's announcement as identical to FTX's previous one? So CZ couldn't hold back and retorted that it wasn't funny anymore, mentioning that Binance held over $1 billion in SPCX (later clarified that there was no intention to dump the shares to cover losses). Putting yourself in Elon's shoes, if CZ immediately responded with a smiley face in a sarcastic comment after Starship's collapse, would Elon be happy? I wonder if this is related to Elon's recent investment in @tradexyz, given that HyperLiquid and Binance are competitors. The two have had quite a few dramas on Tradexyz before. In 2022, Binance invested approximately $500 million in Musk's acquisition of Twitter. In 2023, CZ unfollowed Elon (at the time, some speculated it was related to his collaboration with eToro). In mid-December 2024, CZ posted about the investment from that time, and Elon replied "Thanks!" and retook the post. CZ followed back, their relationship warming up, a reconciliation considered a landmark event. So, is there another drama brewing?
