[CZ and He Yi Respond to Losses: Binance's Annual Revenue Sufficient to Cover Losses, No Plans to Sell SpaceX Shares]
BlockBeats reports that on October 30th, CZ stated that preliminary estimates indicate the Binance attack resulted in losses exceeding $6 billion, with approximately $3 billion in assets frozen. The SAFU fund is valued at over $1 billion, leaving a funding gap of approximately $2 billion.
CZ stated that Binance's SPCX stock alone is worth over $1 billion, and while the remaining shortfall is still a significant loss, it is within manageable limits.
In response, Binance co-founder He Yi stated that Binance's annual revenue is sufficient to cover the losses from the theft, and there is no immediate need to sell its SpaceX shares.
Previously, 0xngmi estimated the losses at approximately $1 billion based on Binance's escrow assets and frozen assets, representing only 0.69% of Binance's total escrow assets. In response, CZ stated that the actual losses may be slightly higher than this estimate, but Binance will bear all the losses.
