According to ChosunBiz, multiple ransomware attacks targeting Synology NAS network storage devices have recently occurred in South Korea, with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) receiving numerous reports of victims. Attackers are using the C3RB3R ransomware to encrypt users' photos, documents, and other files, demanding victims pay 0.036960 BTC (approximately $2,952 USD) within five days to purchase decryption tools. The ransom doubles to 0.073920 BTC if the payment is not made by the deadline. According to analysis by the Chinese cybersecurity company 360, the attack involves vulnerabilities CVE-2026-13639 and CVE-2026-13684 in the Synology DSM system, both with a CVSS severity score of 9.8. Synology confirmed on October 29th that attackers are exploiting a patched vulnerability in an older version of DSM to encrypt data and demand ransom, urging users to update their systems immediately. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/synology-nas-ransomware-attack-south-korea-btc-ransom-71026
