Thank you to our senior members, Brother and Sister, for your hard work and dedication to the safety of Binance users' funds. Sister, despite being pregnant, worked through the night, neglecting her health.
This Binance hack is worth a total of $6.3 billion USD, several times larger than the $1.5 billion USD Bybit hack in 2025.
Currently, $3 billion USD has been frozen. Half remains unfrozen, but the hackers have already converted the remaining amount into tokens like BTC, ETH, and XRP. These cannot be frozen with a single click like stablecoins, making recovery more difficult.
Binance's current approach prioritizes user fund security. Binance has pledged to fully cover the losses using the SAFU fund and its own funds, and has temporarily suspended withdrawals for security checks.
Withdrawals are currently suspended and will resume in approximately 48 hours. Binance is also cooperating with law enforcement and on-chain intelligence companies to recover the funds and will release a detailed technical review and updated reserve proofs afterward.
Following this incident, several analysis firms, including TRM Labs, strongly suspect the involvement of the North Korean hacking group "TraderTraitor, linked to Lazarus," but Binance has not yet officially confirmed the hacker's identity.
What we need to do is trust Binance, trust the world's largest exchange, and trust that with the assistance of Binance's top executives and other relevant technical personnel, these issues will be resolved quickly.
At least myself, my community users, and my friends haven't panicked about this incident. This shows that everyone has absolute trust in Binance, a sense of security that comes with being an industry leader. By sticking together, we can definitely overcome any difficulties.
Trust CZ, trust Heyi, support Binance!
