[Korea's FIU Requests Blocking of Two Undeclared Virtual Asset Operators] According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korea Digital Asset Exchange Alliance (DAXA) has reported Eizis Ventures, TetherMax, and SuperTrust for allegedly violating the Specific Financial Information Act by operating undeclared virtual asset businesses. The Financial Information Analysis Institute (FIU) subsequently requested the Korea Communications Standards Commission to block domestic access to TetherMax and SuperTrust; Eizis Ventures was not included in the blocking list because it does not have an independent website or mobile application. Under current law, operating a virtual asset business without declaration can result in up to five years imprisonment or a fine of up to 50 million won; the same applies to foreign operators targeting Korean citizens. Following this measure, the number of undeclared virtual asset operators reported to investigative authorities has increased to 47.
