[OneKey Founder: IBIT May Be Targeted by North Korean Hackers; Coinbase's Single Custody Model Raises Security Concerns] According to TechFlow, on October 30th, OneKey founder Yishi warned that as Bitcoin ETF holdings increase, the security risks faced by custodian institutions are also rising. He believes that BlackRock's Bitcoin Spot ETF (IBIT) may become a potential target for North Korean hacking groups. He pointed out that TRM Labs is highly convinced that the recent Binance security incident is related to the North Korean hacking group TraderTraitor, which has previously been implicated in the Bybit and DMM Bitcoin thefts. Currently, IBIT holds approximately 815,000 BTC, worth about $63 billion, and Coinbase remains its primary custodian. Although Anchorage Digital has been appointed as an additional custodian, the latest quarterly filings show that there are currently no plans to transfer Bitcoin to that institution. Yishi points out that a $6 billion theft would represent approximately 9.5% of IBIT's assets; the lack of a stablecoin issuer-based freezing mechanism makes recovery even more difficult. Furthermore, Coinbase disclosed that its business crime insurance covers $320 million, shared by its customers.
