[Compensation to be tiered; Polymarket's international site will restore funds directly for losses under $10,000, while larger losses require a settlement waiver] Odaily reports that Polymarket's international site, after a third-party service provider was hacked and some users' funds were stolen, has promised full compensation to affected traders and has reported the incident to law enforcement. The US site was unaffected. On-chain analysis shows that approximately $2.7 million was transferred from about 710 wallets. Users who lost less than $10,000 will have their funds restored directly by October 30th; users who lost more than $10,000 will need to sign a settlement waiver before receiving compensation. Some users reported being asked to submit identity information before receiving large compensation payments. The official tweet did not disclose the full contract text.
