[JPMorgan: Retail Investors Flow Record Amount into Leveraged Equity ETFs] According to TechFlow Research, JPMorgan's fund flow report dated October 28, 2026, indicates that retail investors accelerated their purchases of leveraged equity ETFs over the past two weeks, with October capital inflows reaching a record high, supporting the stabilization of AI-related stocks. As of October 27, the short-selling ratio of QQQ rose to its highest level since 2023, and institutional short covering is expected to provide additional support.
JPMorgan believes that retail call option trading still has potential for recovery, and institutional equity positions are already below the mid-September highs. Corporate buybacks continue to provide support, with global buyback announcements reaching approximately $1.55 trillion as of October 26. Financing channels for highly rated technology companies remain relatively smooth, but a significant tightening of financing conditions could affect capital expenditures and buyback arrangements.
