[Binance $3.7 Billion Stolen Funds Tracked: $2.2 Billion in Stablecoins Frozen] According to Jinse Finance, on October 30th, on-chain analyst jjcmoreno tracked the whereabouts of approximately $3.7 billion stolen from Binance 14, Binance 7, and a hot wallet as follows: On the Ethereum network, attackers transferred approximately $3.7 billion in assets from Binance 14, Binance 7, and a Binance hot wallet to the same receiving address and then split them. Tether and Circle have frozen approximately $2.2 billion in stablecoins, including 1.38 billion USDT and 823 million USDC, distributed across three addresses.
Before the freeze took effect, the attackers had already exchanged approximately 435 million USDT for ETH through 0x Protocol, 1inch, LiFi, and Uniswap; another 60 million USDT was locked as Aave v3 collateral, corresponding to a loan of 19,800 WETH.
The attackers currently control 462,600 ETH (approximately $1.04 billion), distributed across 11 addresses, with three concentrated at 85%. They also hold approximately $400 million worth of other tokens (XAUT, WBETH, ENA, RLUSD, USD1, and a long list of smaller, trailing coins), which they are selling to DEX pools wallet by wallet. To date, no funds have entered centralized exchanges, cross-chain bridges, or mixers.
On the Bitcoin network, all 18,270 BTC (approximately $1.42 billion) have been transferred from Binance cold wallets to 19 new addresses via an intermediary address, with 17 of them each holding 1,000 BTC, and none have moved since.
