From Bybit and Bitget to Binance, every time a security incident occurs at an exchange, there are always those who immediately jump out to mock the exchange's security capabilities. The notion that leading CEXs are unwilling to spend money on security underestimates these companies' technical strength and security budgets (especially unicorn companies with such a high concentration of talent). The reality is that even the largest security team and the most expensive defense system cannot guarantee that a system will never be vulnerability-free. Defense requires guarding every link; attackers only need to find one breach. The emergence of AI is making this even more brutal. The efficiency of vulnerability discovery, code auditing, and attack path deduction will increase dramatically. Tasks that used to take weeks may be completed in hours in the future. Defensive capabilities are improving, and the cost of attacks is rapidly decreasing.
