The vast majority of my crypto holdings are held on Binance, and will continue to be held there. Here's why:
1. If Binance gets hacked, you get hacked too.
2. If Binance gets hacked, your assets won't be affected; Binance will compensate you, and they will work with all project teams to freeze your coins. If you get hacked, you get hacked.
3. If you're a seasoned investor, you should know that companies and individuals far more powerful than you can also get hacked. If they all get hacked, your chances of getting hacked are likely even greater.
4. For most ordinary users, using a hardware wallet doesn't reduce the probability of being hacked.
5. Of course, you can choose a more centralized brokerage like IBIT.
I know this might go against the decentralized nature of blockchain, the principle of "not your key, not your coin." But seasoned investors who have stuck with it long ago already understand that today's blockchain is completely different from the blockchains they first entered. If you had a choice, would you rather be rich and lose some of your ideals, or live in an ideal world but in poverty? I think everyone has already voted with their cryptocurrencies.
