[Binance Stolen Address Has Revoked EIP-7702 Authorization] BlockBeats reports that on October 30th, according to on-chain data, Binance 14, one of the stolen Binance hot wallets, had its 7702 authorization revoked at 8:10 AM Beijing time today. It is understood that this Binance incident involved the EIP-7702 authorization mechanism. After signing such an authorization, the wallet will be taken over by a specific program until the authorization is revoked. This attack abused this feature: the attacker managed to get the Binance hot wallet to sign an EIP-7702 authorization, delegating control of the wallet to a malicious "Sweeper" contract pre-deployed by the attacker. Once the authorization took effect, this malicious contract gained permission to operate the wallet, automatically transferring assets in bulk, without requiring additional signatures from the wallet owner.
