[Coinbase Q3 Earnings Report: Revenue Approximately $1.216 Billion, Down 35% YoY; Adjusted EBITDA Approximately $333 Million]
BlockBeats reports that Coinbase released its Q3 2026 earnings report on October 30th. Total revenue was approximately $1.216 billion, a 35% decrease year-over-year. Trading revenue was approximately $590 million, and subscription and service revenue was approximately $570 million. Net income was approximately $719 million, or $2.51 per diluted share, higher than approximately $433 million in the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA was approximately $333 million, lower than approximately $801 million in the same period last year.
The company stated that the revenue decline was primarily due to a decrease of approximately 59% in consumer spot trading volume and approximately 53% in institutional spot trading volume, partially offset by growth in derivatives business following the acquisition of Deribit. Net income benefited from approximately $715 million in gains from investment crypto assets. Operating expenses decreased by approximately 17% year-over-year to approximately $1.15 billion, reflecting the restructuring announced in May, which resulted in approximately 700 job cuts and a decrease in related marketing expenses. During the same period, the platform's projected annualized revenue exceeded $200 million, and the average USDC holding within its products reached approximately $22 billion, setting a new record high.
According to data from the BIT stock platform, Coinbase (COIN) closed down 1.07%, followed by a further decline of 4.65% at the close.
