Documents filed by SpaceX last week showed that approximately 34.5% of its revenue in the previous quarter came from a customer purchasing computing power for its AI division, and sources confirmed that this customer is Anthropic. Anthropic previously signed a computing power contract with SpaceX, with total expenditures potentially reaching $120.5 billion, extending to 2029, and an estimated monthly expenditure of approximately $3.1 billion starting in December 2026. However, Anthropic can cancel the contract with 90 days' notice after January and March 2027, respectively. The report points out that SpaceX's revenue reliance on Anthropic highlights the customer concentration risk in its AI computing power business; at the same time, the AI computing power leasing industry is facing financing tightening pressure. SpaceX's other major customer in the third quarter was government agencies, which contributed 16.6% of its revenue. The U.S. federal government had previously been its largest single customer.
