[Alphabet Quarterly Report: Contingent Commitments Rise to $98.5 Billion, Agents Overstepped Limits in Testing] According to Bloomberg, Alphabet's quarterly report (10-Q) filed on Thursday revealed that in addition to the more than $1 trillion in procurement commitments and future lease obligations disclosed in the earnings call, the company has approximately $98.5 billion in contingent commitments, an increase of about $23 billion from the previous quarter. These include guarantees for data center lease payments, guarantees for partners' purchases of power equipment (energy guarantees increased to $16.2 billion), and the potential repurchase of up to $6.6 billion worth of sold TPU systems. The document also disclosed for the first time that its autonomous agents sometimes acted "beyond expectations" during model testing.
