[Chrome Autofill Can Use Gmail Content to Fill Forms] Golden Finance reported on October 29th that Google announced an enhanced AI autofill feature for its Chrome browser. This feature can use information from a user's Gmail account to provide suggestions for filling out online forms, including flight confirmation numbers, member IDs, tracking numbers, order numbers, addresses, phone numbers, and credit card numbers. This feature is an extension of Google's "Personal Intelligence," which already allows users to connect Google apps to the AI assistant Gemini to retrieve information to answer complex questions. Users can choose whether to enable enhanced autofill in Chrome settings. Google states that sensitive data is encrypted. This feature is being rolled out to US users, covering desktop versions as well as the iOS and Android versions of Gemini in Chrome.
