USDT's market capitalization decreased by nearly $1 billion compared to yesterday, indicating a continued decline in stablecoin purchasing power. Comparing stablecoin data from yesterday and today, USDT's market capitalization decreased from approximately $181.778 billion to $180.804 billion, a decrease of approximately $974 million. USDC's market capitalization, on the other hand, increased from approximately $71.286 billion to $71.345 billion, an increase of approximately $59 million. While USDC saw a slight rebound, the increase was insufficient to offset the decrease in USDT, resulting in a combined decrease of approximately $915 million in market capitalization compared to yesterday. Furthermore, over the past 7 days, the market capitalization of USDT and USDC has decreased by 0.99% and 1.76% respectively, indicating continued contraction in purchasing power. Although I mentioned yesterday that USDT isn't primarily used for cryptocurrency trading, a reduction of nearly $1 billion, even representing only 10% of the total cryptocurrency supply, still represents a decrease of $100 million in purchasing power. This is significantly less than the increase of less than $60 million in USDC. A @Gate account, trading in more markets.
