[UK FCA and HTX Reach Settlement; HTX to Exit UK Market and Cease Promoting Crypto Services to Local Users] According to a report by DeepFlow TechFlow on October 29th, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced that it has reached a settlement with HTX (formerly Huobi) and obtained a mandate from the UK High Court requiring HTX to cease knowingly and directly or indirectly illegally promoting crypto asset services to UK consumers. HTX has ceased operations in the UK; UK users can no longer deposit funds, and new users cannot register.
The FCA filed a lawsuit against HTX in October 2025, accusing it of violating financial promotion regulations. This settlement between HTX and the UK regulator does not represent an admission by HTX of illegality or misconduct.
