According to The New York Times, prediction market platform Kalshi has completed a $1 billion Series G funding round, reaching a valuation of $40 billion, a significant increase from $22 billion in May of this year, and nearly double that of competitor Polymarket's latest valuation of $21 billion. The round was led by Sequoia Capital and Wellington Management, with participation from Morgan Stanley Investment Management, a16z, Coatue Management, and others. Kalshi co-founder and CEO Tarek Mansour stated that the company has discussed an IPO but did not disclose specific plans. He also stated that Kalshi's non-sports revenue has exceeded $1 billion, and that its cryptocurrency-related business is growing faster than its sports business. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/kalshi-1b-series-g-funding-valuation-40b-ipo-talks-70946
