Wagyu, a cryptocurrency exchange platform, has confirmed a data breach affecting data from the past three months. Security researchers Officer's Notes and AML Crypto analyzed the data and found it included 10,139 user records and 38,628 order records. Some transactions were flagged as related to hacking or theft, and the data may help trace previously untraceable on-chain fund flows. According to researchers, the hacker group WhiteArmor demanded a $5 million ransom, which was refused, leading to the data release. Wagyu stated that user funds and exchange services were unaffected and that security measures have been strengthened. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/wagyu-data-breach-10000-users-40000-orders-5m-ransom-70947
